and so glad I was... one of the most memorable shows ever. What a beautiful night, outdoors under the sky and a near-full moon, this is one of the sweetest venues anywhere, and the dead seemed so relaxed and in the groove. jerry was at his best for 82 and this show was one of the finest. Cool breezes wafted thru the crowd and the moon shined and the vibe was light and happy. you can tell from the recording, obviously, how great the music was. that whole summer tour was incredible and included three great shows at Red Rocks. This show was just as good, and what a kick to get a Casey Jones encore! This show was a definite 5.

Check this totally bad-ass AUD out.

I need to side by side again, but 98% this has got to be the best one. It is jaw dropping.

To Lay Me Down. Let it Grow. Stella Blue.

'82 shows can sneak up and grab you by the brainstem sometimes. This is a killer show, and with this Aud. you can close your eyes and be there.

Yes, picky heads like me will say there is some wind noise, burnt edges on upper mid range (LIG has some channel issues too), but I am hard pressed to find an Aud that puts you more at the show than this one. Up there with some of those stellar '80-'81 Auds out there. Apparently those illicit profits were good for something. Please pass me the time machine.

Another real plus is that the Stella Blue has only the slightest dip where there is a flip. Sounds all there to me at 1st listen.

I am giving 5* for the clarity of the recording and b/c it is a BAMF of a 2nd set. I'll keep board and Aud copies of this set.

Matrix with the Tetzelli board version would be quite interesting.
